HEX to RGB & RGB to HEX converter
Convert any hex colour code to RGB, or RGB to hex, and grab the exact colour from a photo with the image colour picker. Works with codes like #A855F7, A855F7 or short #ABC.
How do I convert HEX to RGB?
Type or paste a hex code such as #A855F7 (or A855F7, with or without the #) into the HEX box. The RGB values (168, 85, 247) appear straight away, along with HSL, HSV and CMYK. Tap any value to copy it.
How do I convert RGB to HEX?
Enter the red, green and blue numbers (0 to 255) in the RGB boxes and the hex code updates as you type. For example rgb(16, 185, 129) is #10B981.
How do I get the colour code from a picture?
Open or drop a picture, then tap or click any spot on it. A magnifier shows the exact pixel, and you get its HEX and RGB code to copy. Each colour you pick is saved in your palette.
Can I find the main colours in an image?
Yes. Open a picture and the Palette tab lists its main colours automatically. Tap one to see its codes, or press Export to download your colours as a palette card.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. It runs in your browser with nothing to install. Tap to pick a colour, pinch to zoom in on small details, and swipe with the Hand tool to move around.
Is my picture uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your own device, so your picture is never uploaded or stored.
What is the difference between HEX and RGB?
They describe the same colour in two ways. RGB gives the amount of red, green and blue from 0 to 255, and HEX writes those three numbers as a six-character code, two characters each, like #FF8800.
