How to remove a background
- Sign in, then choose, drop or paste (Ctrl+V) a picture. PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF and AVIF all work.
- The engine finds the main subject, such as a person, pet or product, and makes everything else transparent.
- Use the Erase and Restore brushes to clean up edges or anything the engine missed. Original shows the starting picture to compare.
- Choose Download PNG to keep the transparency, Copy to paste it into another app, or Edit in Studio to add a new background or text.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my download a PNG?
PNG keeps see-through areas. A JPG would fill them with a solid colour.
Why did it cut off part of my subject?
Busy backgrounds, or subjects close in colour to the background, are harder. Paint the missing part back with the Restore brush, or try Boosted.
