What NexusHub keeps about you, why it keeps it, and how to get it all back or wipe it. Written the way it would be explained out loud.

The short version

NexusHub (nexushub.diy) is a small website run by Parky. It has free browser tools and an optional free account. If you've got a question about your data, the contact page reaches a real person.

Only what's needed to make the thing you're using work:

  • Your account: the name you choose, your email address and your password. Passwords are scrambled (hashed) before they're stored, so nobody can read them — not even us.
  • Accounts you connect: if you connect X, Discord or another supported service, we keep its account ID, display name, profile picture and profile link so Nexus knows which account belongs to you. NexusHub does not keep your X password.
  • What you save in the tools: the bets, free bets and notes you type into the Profit Tracker.
  • Download allowance: the video and photo downloaders, and videos brought into the post generators, count how many downloads you have used today so your plan’s daily limit works. Signed in, the count is kept against your account; otherwise against a scrambled (hashed) copy of your IP address. Counts are deleted after three days. The links you download are not kept against you.
  • Sign-in and security details: when you sign in we store a random sign-in key, your IP address and your browser's name. These keep you signed in and slow down anyone trying to guess passwords.
  • Website visits: if you agree to it, Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages are popular. You are asked the first time you arrive, and nothing is counted unless you say yes.
The audio trimmer, image converter, background remover, music visualizer, QR maker and the rest all work inside your browser. The files you open with them are never uploaded and never reach us.

The video downloader pages show a shared list of what's been downloaded recently, so the pages don't feel empty and you can see the tools are working.

What that list stores: which site the video came from, its title, the account or channel that posted it, the quality picked, and the time.

What it doesn't store: anything about who downloaded it. No IP address, no account, no name, no link, and no copy of the file itself. There's no way to tie an entry back to a person — including for us.

Titles on that list are public, so anyone visiting can see them. If you'd rather a title didn't appear there, don't use the downloader for it. The list keeps the most recent few hundred entries and older ones fall off on their own.

Nexus Browser (listed in browser stores as Nexus Hub | Digital Browser Tools) is the NexusHub extension for Chrome and other browsers. It only looks at a tab when you click the Nexus icon on it, or on sites you choose to allow: the media sites in Auto-follow (YouTube, X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Spotify and SoundCloud) or a site where you allow a tool to keep working after the page reloads. You can take any of these permissions back at any time in your browser's extension settings.

  • What it reads, on your device: the page title and link, and the post, video or song details on screen, so the panel can show the right tools.
  • Tools that stay on your device: screenshots, the image and video lists, the page code viewer and the free page search in the question box all work inside your browser. Downloads are saved straight to your device. If a picture can't be read directly, its web address is sent to NexusHub so it can be fetched for you; the picture isn't kept.
  • Page cookies: only if you open the cookie viewer and allow it for that site. Cookie names and values are shown on your screen only and are never sent to NexusHub or anyone else.
  • What it sends to NexusHub, only when you press a button: a link, text or post you save to My Nexus; a post you share to Discord (it appears there with your Nexus name on it); and a YouTube video's link and title when you play it on Discord.
  • Ask Nexus and Summarise (Plus and VIP): when you press them, up to about 4,000 characters of the page or email you're reading (on long pages, the parts that best match your question), plus your question, are sent to NexusHub and to OpenAI to write the answer. OpenAI is asked not to store it. NexusHub keeps the answer, not the page, for 7 days so asking the same thing again is free. Emails are only ever read when you press Summarise this email. On a free account, the question box searches the page on your device instead and nothing is sent.
  • Your sign-in: connecting the extension to your account stores a sign-in key in the extension's own storage on your device. Disconnecting removes it.
  • Usage counts: the extension tells NexusHub which buttons get used (for example "summarise") and its version number. These counts never include page addresses, page content or anything personal.
The extension never collects your browsing history, passwords, payment details or what you type into websites, and nothing it handles is sold or used for adverts.

Nexus is our Discord bot. It plays music, runs Smart Nexus (the voice assistant) and helps run servers. It only keeps what it needs for those jobs:

  • Your Discord ID and name: when you link Discord to your NexusHub account, so your songs, settings and membership follow you.
  • Membership roles: in the Nexus Hub server, the bot checks your linked plan and gives or removes the Plus or VIP role to match. Only the plan name is checked.
  • Server settings: what server admins pick in /config, like the voice, nickname or clean-language mode, plus which Discord accounts manage that server.
  • Your Smart Nexus settings: the voice and personal choices you make in /config or on My Nexus.
  • Smart Nexus memory: if memory is on, your recent chats with Smart Nexus so it can remember context. It keeps your last 100 messages at most, and nothing older than 30 days. You can turn memory off at any time, and server admins can turn it off for a whole server.
  • Support tickets: ticket channels and their messages live on Discord. A closed ticket is deleted automatically after 24 hours.
  • Songs and playlists: the playlists and favourite songs you save.

Voice: Smart Nexus only listens after you say its wake word in a voice channel you're in. What you say next is turned into text by a speech service (OpenAI or xAI) and answered by OpenAI. The reply is spoken by ElevenLabs or OpenAI. Voice recordings are not saved.

Codes you type into the redeem or link pop-ups are only seen by you and the bot. Removing the bot from a server stops it collecting anything there, and you can unlink Discord in Settings → Discord.

Four reasons, and that's it:

  • To run your account and show your own tracker back to you.
  • To send a password reset email when you ask for one.
  • To keep accounts safe and stop people abusing the site.
  • To understand roughly how the site is used, so it can be made better.

We don't sell your data, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't send marketing emails. There are no adverts on NexusHub at all.

Only a handful, and each does a job:

  • nxmb_session — keeps you signed in. Only used for your account, and removed when you sign out.
  • Security verification cookies — remember a successful human check for 30 minutes, so you can browse without repeated checks. These protect the site and its tools and are separate from optional visit counting.
  • Google Analytics cookies — used to count visits. These are only set if you say yes to the cookie bar; say no and they are never set. Change your answer.
  • Your browser's own storage — remembers small things on your device, like your exchange commission, your last dutching calculation, or where you got to in a video. This never leaves your device.

Background Remover requires a signed-in account. Nexus Engine 2 sends a working copy to our private image engine. Nexus Engine 2.1 Boosted sends a working copy to OpenAI for a transparent cut-out. Processing copies and results are held in memory and discarded when the request ends; Nexus does not keep a picture library. Any temporary image files in the private image engine are checked every minute and deleted once they reach 15 minutes old. Your original picture and touch-up edits stay in your browser. We store monthly usage totals against your account and use cooldowns to prevent abuse. A hashed account identifier is held by the private engine for up to ten minutes for request limits. OpenAI handles submitted images under its own API data policies.

The Currency Converter sends only the selected currency codes and history period to NexusHub. Your amount is calculated on your device. NexusHub fetches and caches reference rates from Frankfurter on the server, without sending your IP address to that provider. We record a hashed IP address for request limits for up to 24 hours. Video Studio processes videos on your device and keeps its draft, including your video, in your browser. Drafts older than 30 days are ignored; use Start fresh to clear a restored draft.

Your data sits on our web host's servers. Google receives website visit data through Google Analytics when you consent. OpenAI receives the page text and question when you use Ask Nexus or Summarise in the extension. When you talk to Smart Nexus, OpenAI or xAI turns your words into text, OpenAI writes the answer and ElevenLabs or OpenAI speaks it. Discord receives anything you choose to share or play there. When you choose to connect an outside account, that provider receives the secure sign-in request and sends NexusHub the basic profile details you approve. Nothing is sold, and nothing else is shared unless the law requires it.

Your account data stays for as long as you have an account. Delete your account and your details, bets, free bets and notes go straight away.

Sign-in keys expire by themselves. Security records are cleared after about a day. The Recent Downloads list keeps its most recent few hundred entries and drops older ones automatically.

Everything is in one place, and none of it needs asking us:

  • See and download your data: My Account → Download a backup.
  • Fix your details: change your name, email and password in My Account.
  • Delete everything: My Account → Delete account. It's immediate.
  • Ask us anything: the contact page.

If you're in the UK you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you're unhappy with how your data has been handled.

A NexusHub account is free for anyone who wants to save their work, and it isn't only for the matched betting tools.

Bookmakers and exchanges are a separate thing entirely: they only accept people aged 18 or over. NexusHub isn't aimed at young children, so if you're under 13 please ask a parent or guardian before signing up.

If this policy changes, it'll be updated here and the date at the top will change with it.
