Put a video file into this folder on your hosting and it turns up here on its own — no uploading, no settings.
public_html/cinema-videos
- Plays: MP4, M4V, WebM, OGV, MOV and MKV. MP4 works everywhere, so it's the safe one.
- Titles: come from the file name, so first_steps.mp4 shows as "First Steps".
- Shelves: make a folder in there, like Baby videos, and it becomes its own row.
- Thumbnails: grabbed from the video itself, or drop a matching .jpg beside it.
- Subtitles: drop a matching .vtt file beside the video.
This page isn't linked from the menus and search engines are told to skip it, but anyone with the address can open it. For family videos, put a password on the folder in cPanel under Files → Directory Privacy.
